What We Do
We help women stop leaking, release pelvic pain, reconnect to their body, and reclaim the joy in doing what they love, all without medication or expensive surgeries and long recovery time!
I have been there, googling how to help low back pain. Following random workout videos that claim to heal your core and pelvic floor, but not really feeling any of the muscles they said I was supposed to. Wondering when I was going to pee my pants because everyone said it was coming after having a baby. It felt defeating and lonely and I was constantly worried about pushing too far and making things worse. This sparked my passion to help bridge the gap in women's care. I want to help women feel confident, safe, and cared for in a vulnerable time that some women feel the most alone.
We help you:
- Not feel like a stranger in your own body
- Relieve pain without medication
- Prepare for Birth or Postpartum Recovery
- Stop peeing your pants
- Address bowel/bladder issues
- Help return to pleasurable intimacy without pain
- Safely Return to Exercise
We can accomplish this by truly listening to your experience, concerns, and lifestyles and tailoring a custom plan of care to address exactly what you need.
Dealing with pelvic floor dysfunction of any kind can feel isolating and lonely, but you don't have to face it alone. If you are ready to take the next step to reclaiming your confidence and joyfully participating in life again, book a consult with me now to see how I can help!
Therapist
Mary Smith, OTR/L, PCES, Level 1 FPHP
I specialize in helping women feel comfortable in their own bodies and address all the taboo or scary/embarrassing questions. There is no such thing as TMI in my book. My goal is to help women feel seen, heard, and important by addressing their concerns without judgement and with compassion and understanding. I have my Master's in Occupational Therapy, and am a certified Pregnancy and Postpartum Corrective Exercise Specialist, as well as a Level 1 Functional Pelvic Health Practitioner. I am dedicated to a life of continued learning to benefit my clients to the best of my ability. As an Occupational Therapist, I focus on helping people improve their quality of life by being able to participate in meaningful "occupations", in other words, things you do every day. I take into account how you feel, how pelvic floor dysfunction interrupts your life or social interactions as well as the effect on your physical body. I am well versed in thinking out of the box and turning treatment techniques into movements or activities you do each and every day. By doing this, you heal faster and do so without feeling like a "failure" if you missed a day of doing your 5 exercises. Each woman deserves to feel comfortable and safe within her own body, and most importantly she deserves to be heard when she says something is off. I will always work with you to get to the root cause of your symptoms.
