How do I book an appointment?
If you are a new client, you can schedule a free consultation which will be a quick introduction so you can tell me what brings you to pelvic floor therapy and we can set up your initial appointment during this time. If getting on a zoom call feels uncomfortable for you, you can also email us at info@busybodieswellness.com for any inquiries about booking.
My current schedule is
Tuesday, from 9am-6pm CST
Wednesday-Friday 3-6pm CST
How Long Will It Take to Feel Better?
The honest answer, is this completely depends on each person. My goal is to give you strategies to help you start feeling better from day one but many factors including your history, symptoms, and implementing what you learn in sessions into daily life determine how long healing can take. However most clients typically expect to see me for 4-8 sessions. Some may book more, some may feel better with less and decide to just make maintenance visits if they have questions or feel new symptoms or sensations.
What can I expect during my first treatment?
The initial treatment will be a time to dive deeper into understanding what brought you to pelvic floor therapy. We will discuss your history, symptoms, and information from your intake paperwork. We will also look at how your muscles respond to certain movements. Together we will come up with a plan of care to move forward, and set your goals for therapy. We will also go over any exercises or habit changes so that by the end of each session you will have at least one piece of homework to complete throughout your time until the next visit.
What Should I Wear
Clothes that are comfortable to move in. Athleisure is perfectly acceptable!
How Long and How Often are Appointments?
Our appointments are typically 60 minutes long. Some follow ups for virtual sessions may be 30 minutes long. Frequency between visits can vary based on your individual needs and will be discussed in your initial session. However, most people do well with a visit either weekly or every other week to begin with. This Can change to monthly or as needed visits as you progress through treatment!
Where Do you drive to for Mobile Services?
My in-home session prices are included and available anywhere within a 15 mile radius of 51st and Lynn Lane in Tulsa. Anything outside of that is subject to an additional $1.25/mile and will be discussed prior to first session to reflect updated price.
Do You Take My Insurance?
Busy Bodies Wellness is an Out-of-Network provider for all insurances. We Collect payment at the time of service, and can provide and itemized bill that you can individually submit to be reimbursed by your insurance company if they cover out-of-network provider costs. The reimbursement is completely between you and your insurance; Busy Bodies Wellness is not involved in the process past providing you with a super bill. This allows us the flexibility to create the best treatment plans for YOU including treatment session times and frequency. By doing this, we can design treatment plans based on what we find your body needs instead of what insurance will or won't pay for, and you never get stuck with a surprise bill months down the line that you thought was covered!
What Is your Cancellation Policy?
We ask that if you need to cancel a scheduled session you do so 24 hours in advance. Any no-shows or cancellations less than 24 hours in advance are subject to paying for the full price of the session.
Its been a few years since I've had a baby, is there any hope for me getting better?
YES, It doesn't matter if you had a baby 6 days ago or 16 years ago, once postpartum always postpartum! With that said, you can ABSOLUTELY make significant progress in healing no matter how long it has been since you had a baby.
Do you only work with Pregnant/Postpartum Women?
NO! I am able to help any woman with their pelvic floor needs, regardless of if you have ever been pregnant, had a child, or not.
I'm Really nervous, Is that okay?
First, I am honored that you have considered me to help you along this journey. As my client you are in full control of how we progress. I will talk you through my entire processes. If there is anything that makes you feel even slightly uncomfortable we are able to stop, go slower, or save it for another day. If you have any questions during or after a session I am happy to answer them! My philosophy to treatment is to be a facilitator in your healing, not a fixer, meaning you always have control and autonomy during each and every encounter.
Good Faith Estimates
Under the law, health care providers need to give patients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the bill for medical items and services.
- You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency items or services. This includes related costs like medical tests, prescription drugs, equipment, and hospital fees.
- Make sure your health care provider gives you a Good Faith Estimate in writing at least 1 business day before your medical service or item. You can also ask your health care provider, and any other provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule an item or service.
- If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill.
- Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate. For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises or call 800-985-3059.
- Our Rates are currently $150 for evaluation, $120 per hourly session +milage if applicable. Rates and totals will be verified with a good faith estimate prior to first session. We reserve the rights to update these rates at any time but will provide adequate time to update any clients prior to price adjustments. You will never be hit with a surprise bill!
